I have a symmetric internet connection, 50 megabit download and 50 megabit upload. I have to say, for me, this service sucks. The image quality is poor, choppy and laggy. Plus if you do not like the service, you wont get your money back, there is no refunds.

GeForce Now is amazing. Stadia is OK. My biggest issue with cloud gaming is that you can't use mods and the number of games supported is limited. I will always prefer traditional PC gaming but cloud gaming is a great alternative if you have a weak PC and are on low budget.

I could see game streaming working on a new platform of stand alone vr headsets.

PS NOW's library is full of old games and PS4 exclusives doesn't exist or at least there are two or three. so it is not worthy at all. Microsoft is the big winner with better game library and soon xcloud 1080 resolution on PC :) No companies can catch Microsoft.

Clarity on PSNow: once you pay for the subscription all the games are included. It's great if you want to revisit Ps1 and ps2 games but don't want to buy the remaster or they have yet to be remastered. I've played house of the Dead on this service and it is less like Geforce now and more like Netflix for games...kinda.

No there is not - when I pay for a streaming service - I expect, I EXPECT - to have all the games I bought on PC - available to me so that I can play them - any of them!!! Not the way Geforce now does it, or stadia - with those shitty "exclusives". If I'm gonna pay 20$ a month for a service like that- I want steam, I want epic, I want origin, I want uplay to be available to me - so that I can play any of the games I purchased - PERIOD!!!!!!!!! i don't understand how google managed to fuck up what nvidia already did. Google has more resources. This, of course, excludes the management of it (Needing to buy all your games from them at full price, regardless of age, needing to buy it with their controller, etc) but the underlying systems. I know it's not simple to host a cloud gaming service, but it seems like google went about it their own way and got a worse result than NVidia, something that shouldn't have happened.

It will never work for obvious reasons. The internet was never built with speed in mind but with war in mind. Internet is thus very robust: one router dead doesn't mean the whole internet is gone. Heck you could nuke a big city, internet would still travel around it. The packets (bits of data) are always travelling non specific routes, so it requires receive/read/compare/send procedure for every tiny packet of 1280 bytes, that's nothing, which will always induce random latencies that CANNOT BE FIXED. MMOs are already a prowess most people have no idea of, the fact that it works is mind-blowing. For game stream, either we need a local computer with a somewhat predictible and short route to the devices it streams to, or we need a parallel internet. A network built specifically for that, which means a brand new cable installed at your home amd DIRECTLY connected to the streaming center and NOTHING ELSE. I've been hearing about this foolishness since 2013 by my fellow programmers and it makes me want to hit my head on a wall each time I hear this crazy idea of videogame. That experts seriously spend time on this nonsense is really scary and a dark omen for pur future, because it means even top experts are so disconnected from reality they entertain ideas that are completely sterile. Rant over, but mark my words: there will NEVER be a good videogame streaming service on the internet because ultra low latency and consistency are two things that the internet is unable to provide. Internet sacrifices these characteristics in exchange of reliability: information will go through eventually, even if the network is physically mostly destroyed. It is not designed nor suitable for live services. It kinda works for calls and videos because some latency is acceptable, but in videogames it's just not going to work.
