18:40 don't dis the mounting mechanism, I think its pretty good and makes installing a cooler a hell of a lot easier than screwing into a backplate while keeping the cooler in the correct place. Naturally the cooler you have doesn't actually use those plastic clips but some of them do.

I keep wondering when my 1055t will be obsolete. I'm telling you this CPU has served me well and it's still good enough for EVERYTHING up to date. It won't to 300fps but man it still does 40-80 FPS not bad at all. Like I said, this dinosaur is pound for pound the best ever that AMD made. It's still my video, music tracking, and gaming computer. I put in SSDS, GTX TI 10## NOT AS FAST AS RTX but still, man it's good. AMD is truly, a selfless company. My friends Intels have been through 5-6 upgrades and yeah, goes to show how greedy Intel is. I'll keep using this old old Phenom till I can't run anything at all over 40 fps. LMFAO.

One year earlier (2019) I did build a Ryzen desktop with an Asrock B450 motherboard for $349 mainly from Newegg :) :) A story from the Caribbean! Content: Ryzen 3 2200G ($97); Asrock B450 HDV Rel 4.0 ($60); 512GB Silicon Power nvme SSD ($70); 2 x 8GB Geil DDR4 (3000MHz; $80), I reused 2 HDDs (1 TB and 500 GB; $0.00). The Xtech midi-tower is "muy especial" and bought locally in Santiago de los Caballeros for DOP 1500 (~$30) and it included a 600W power supply for that price!! :) The black case has no fans, but it included a RGB strip around the power key, blue if powered on and red if the disks are active :) When I mounted a 80mm outlet fan in the case, the fan resonated on the thin back plate. After hitting the back plate, it mostly stopped :) Now I use a 2-pin 92mm fan, that I took from a Compaq Evo Tower, so old it still had a Windows 98SE sticker. That resonance disappeared and the noise of that ancient fan is drowned out by the room fan :) The Xtech power supply is special too, it has the following plugs; 24-pin; 4-pin CPU; 2 SATA plugs; 2 Molex plugs and NO video card plugs. The desktop needs max 150W of the 600W, the motherboard only has a 4 pin CPU connector too. The power supply was a perfect fit for the PC, despite being probably 70+ tin rated. On the net side the power supply is protected by a 1200W Avtek surge protector, that also serves up to 3 other off-lease PCs from 2003 (Pentium 4 HT); 2008 (Phenom II X4 B97) and 2011 (my laptop; i5-2520M). The system runs Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on the ZFS file system. My hobby is collecting OSes in Virtualbox, so I have all Windows releases from 1.04 to 10 and all Ubuntu LTS release from 4.10; 6.06 LTS till the RC of 21.04. Other VMs include Fedora 33; Manjaro, FreeBSD 12.2 and 13-RC2; Peppermint 7; 9 and 10 :) The system works fine, I can run 2 modern Windows systems or 4 modern Linux systems at the same time. That is enough with only one pair of hands to feed beast. Besides 2 OS updates at the same time runs the CPU at 100% CPU load for a longer period of time.

Yes the closure is hard on business. But that's fine if the alternative is offering us all up as a blood sacrifice to capitalism, they're just businesses. There's a lot more people than jobs, and as we get better and better at everything, fewer and fewer people are needed for anything. The old model of employment just doesn't even apply anymore.
