A quick note about the WH1000-XM4. While I haven't tested them, I own the 3's. One of the reasons I bought them was because some reviews mentioned that it was mediocre. And that'd be true if it was a sub $ 100 pair of headphones - As > $ 300 (they can be found for less nowadays) headphones the mic quality is atrociously bad! Edit: I might as well warn you if you own a shell jacket with a capuche because it really had a fun time with the touch-controls, to my chagrin.

Honestly, you should use headphones in such a situation. Those profiled steel walls are not the best option for any speakers due early reflections from each profile separately. Talk about comb filtering. You can still add the subwoofer if you want *feel* the audio.

LTT Don't take review requests I'm afraid, but you can post in the LTT Forums where many people wll be happy to share their knowledge and opinions with you. To answer your question though, no it probably isn't a scam. But it is cheap and it really shows. Don't expect good build quality nor something that will last you long term. The hardware they include also won't perform as well as the name brand stuff. They appear to have just went for bragging rights to say they have the most RAM and Solid state storage for example, but it will be without a doubt running slower than that of other brands.
