Biggest issues with mustard is that it is super acidic, and it will cook quickly, losing most of it's thermal conductivity probably within an hour.

you should try JB Weld. it's almost entirely metal, and it's made to repair automotive parts, up to and including engine blocks, so it must be pretty thermally conductive. (either that, or it's incredibly thermally non conductive. not sure which.) the downside being you'd be literally welding the CPU to the cooler, so better hope it works, because you're never getting it off again.

should've tested the lapped parts with a tiny drop of thermalpaste at this opportunity, some people say that a rougher surface with thermalpaste has better heat transfer than flat parts with less thermalpaste

In Brazil there is this old time's forum called Clube do hardware, there they tested a shit ton of PC components. The were eletronics specialists, so the did a lot of power supply tests (and found out that the 80 plus seal is worthless for Power Supplies made in Brazil). They made a really famous thermal paste test, and between all thermal pastes they tried, Mayo came in third.
